At fizzygeek and my 10 year anniversary foo, maugorn and I were swapping various stories, and someone pointed out that a lot of them seemed to climax with “and then it burst into flames”.

Apparently inspired by this, maugorn posted this Madlib for building a story like ours. I liked it, but thought it would be cool if there was a web version of this, so you could fill in the words, and get back the automatically produced story.

So I made one.

This was all well and good, but it seemed a waste to use all that code just for one story, so while I was reading LJ, I was also looking for another good story to make into a computerized Madlib. And I found this one in baronmind’s LJ. And with his permission, I made it into a Madlib too!
