Grrr! (no Terminator)
Due to the continued incompetence of Mid-Atlantic Cablevision CableVision of Loudoun Adelphia Comcast, I was able to record 0 out of 120 minutes of the season finalé of Terminator. Anybody have a copy I can borrow?

It's one of the shows that Fox streams within a couple of days. Try http://fox.com/fod/ tomorrow or Wednesday.

The first half was pretty good; I'm saving the rest for later. I feel your pain though; this past Thursday, Comcast elected to cut out 3 minutes before the end of Lost.

Thanks for the tip. I was hoping they did something like that.

I'm increasingly tempted to ditch Comcast TV and just watch online.

I haven't checked my tape yet, but hopefully it worked for me. I probably won't have time to watch it until Thursday. I'll keep it for a few months at least.

Care to discuss any show themes from before tonight's episode?
(evolution of characters, Cameron, AI, etc.)

One thing I love about TTSCC is the throwaway details that turn out not to be. I thought we'd never see Ep 1's ex-fiance again, e.g. Also there are the subtle little back-references starting already (we saw Sarah popping handfuls of pills with no explanation, and then I remembered the cancer scare from earlier).

Names: If you never noticed from the movies, the name of the guy who will be saving humanity from the machines shares initials with another savior.
In premiere, Sarah and John were using last name Reese, which the show didn't then explain was Sarah's tribute to J's late father, although fans knew.
Summer Glau's character acquired the name Cameron, obviously a tribute to filmmaker. I didn't catch any show-scenario reason for it.
When they moved, they acquired the last name Baum. Wizard of Oz by Frank Baum was a childhood favorite of John's, show said. Other Oz references: SC tells guidance counselor Cameron's PTSD is ever since the TORNADO and the move, and she also called Cameron "Tin Miss" (like Tin Man, with no heart) at least once.

Plenty more I could talk about, but I'll give you the next turn...

When you said No Terminator my first thought was that Comcast left a resistor off the line.

You could come over and watch it at our place in HD. ;) But then we would ask you to bring your TV calibration tools and help us tune our Toshiba non-HD tv. :)
